Where is MOONCHILD AMAMI?
At 10-1 Naze Irifune-cho, Amami City, Kagoshima — right at the entrance of Yanigawa Street, the main nightlife street of Naze on Amami Oshima. It is about 50 minutes by car from Amami Airport and within walking distance of Naze Port.
What are the opening hours and closing day?
Open 11:00–24:00 (last order 23:30). Closed on Wednesdays. Lunch is served 11:00–15:00. Temporary closures and private events are announced on the schedule on this site and on Instagram.
Is there a cover charge?
No. There is no cover or seating charge — feel free to come in for a single drink.
Can I come alone? Can I drink in the daytime?
Solo guests are very welcome. We serve alcohol from opening at 11:00, so a daytime drink is fine — and of course you can just have a coffee or tea.
What Amami brown-sugar shochu do you have?
25 labels from Amami distilleries, from 25% to over 40% ABV — Lento, Sato no Akebono, Kana, Ryugu, Mankoi, Beni Sango and more. The Brown Sugar Shochu Tasting Set (¥1,000) lets you pick three to compare. Served on the rocks, with water, with soda or with hot water.
Do you serve food and lunch?
Yes. Our Shima-buta Pork Sandwich (Amami island pork simmered in house spices), Soft-bone Cartilage Curry Lunch and Napolitan Spaghetti Lunch (both with soup and a drink) are available at lunchtime, and snacks such as pizza and French fries are served in the evening.
